The Western Pennsylvania Professional Business Association is a relationship building network made up of business owners and professionals who work in non-competing businesses.
Each member recognizes that an organized and trusted referral network can be vital to the success of a business. We are a relationship driven alliance that takes pride, in the fact, that by forming strong professional bonds we become a resource for each other.
Each member has the opportunity to build relationships, promote their business, share experiences and strengthen their reputation within the business community through their membership in the network.
The first Tuesday of each month is designated as a business meeting where the business of the Association is discussed and put in order. The remaining meetings follow this protocol:
- Meeting called to order
- Comments by the President
- Flag salute
- Reading of the charter
- Speaker…each week one (or two) members have an opportunity to present a detaled discussion of their business for a period of 10 (or 20) minutes.
- Commercials… all members give a short presentation of their business and what is a good referral for them to receive.
- Fundraiser… (50/50)
- Conclusion… Thought for the Day
HOW YOU BENEFIT
Referrals Forms are distributed at the beginning of the meeting. Members fill them out and pass them to the intended recipient. Monthly totals are maintained of number of referrals received and given.
We serve as your outside sales force, helping to bring new business to you through qualified referrals. We believe that the more referrals we give to others, the more business others will refer to us.
Our core belief is the simple fact that connecting your independent business with others, helps all businesses involved grow faster and more profitable. Members work together to build each other’s businesses by introducing one another to new clients and customers who need a specific service that is offered through the network.
We believe that working together is a smarter path to success than competition. Essentially, network members serve as each others sales force, helping to bring new business to each other’s companies through the use of trusted referrals. Because of our strong social and professional bonds, members feel they can confidently recommend fellow members for their wide range of services and products.
